NEW DELHI: WhatsApp, being one of the most used instant messenger applications in the world, keeps on testing new features every now and then in different regions. While some of them stay hidden and are found later by some curious minds, others are directly visible as soon as you open them. However, not all of them arrive in the final update for the users. Those who do spot these features and use it before everyone else in the world are the beta testers. For those unaware, it is really easy to become one.
So what do you do to become a beta tester?
Becoming a WhatsApp beta tester on Android is really easy. Once you become a beta tester you can experience features before they are rolled out to millions of other people around the globe. This requires no rooting of the handset or even manual downloading and installing of any .apk file. WhatsApp has given an official route to become a beta member. Here’s how you do it.
All you need to do is to open the WhatsApp beta test page on any of the browsers. You can visit the link –https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.whatsapp and simply log in to your Google account that is linked to your Android device. If you are signed in from multiple accounts, you can click on the account icon on the top right corner and choose the preferred account. Once done, just click on the option that says “Become A Tester”.
And voila!
You can also leave the beta testing program anytime you like. For that you would need to uninstall the beta app version and simply install the public version from Google Play.
